Hilarious Waze Map Chats - Pt. 1

I use the GPS program Waze extensively. It is one of the secret ways (so to speak) I am able to defeat traffic problems. Waze tends to favor the side roads whereas Google Maps the main roads.

Every so often, I see a comment on Waze, a blurb posted by someone out there. These are typically angst ridden comments about the pains of traffic. I love screen grabbing Waze Map Chats, as they are called. I have about 100 of them so far and they provide salve for the maddening absurdity of the traffic problem in Boston. What strikes me about them, aside from the anger, is the articulateness and intelligence of some of them.

You can typically tell what location they were taken at by looking at the map or the directions Waze is indicating at the top of each screen capture.

Why?

“I’d rather kill myself then sit in this traffic.”

“Friday is the worst day of the week to drive home. All the *** going away for the weekend.”

“Make traffic great again.”

“Abandon hope all ye who enter.”

“If I had one day left to live, I’d ask to be in Friday traffic…lasts forever.”
