My First Uber Ride (As A Driver)

This is a screenshot of the very first Uber ride I gave back on February 5, 2014. There was snow outside. I was as nervous as a Pilgrim on the Mayflower. I gave a man a ride from Harvard Square to his destination about five minutes away. My fare: $6.91.

This is also one of the first photos I took in my ride share career, the first of thousands to come. Back then, after you signed up for Uber, they sent you a specially rigged iPhone with their app on it. An iPhone4 as I recall.

My Uber career had begun. Plymouth Rock, here I come.
